Overwhelmed!
Overwhelmed is a verb. Oh yeah, since this word has an ed as a suffix it tells me that it is past tense. So the base word is overwhelm.
Overwhelmed means to take on too many task or overcome with emotion.
Last June, I was overwhelmed by the news that mom was having a baby. 
Not as overwhelmed as when it arrives.....then you will really be feeling overwhelmed. Congrats all around...we hear those babies love to throw foodibles on the floor....score!
